I'm going to Paris and Italy in a couple weeks and I have a "Jensen power and travel voltage converter kit. 1600 watts, converts 220-240 volts."
I bought it just so I can blow dry my hair and charge my iPod with a normal wall charger.

Answer Just get the second one, you will be fine, all it is , is a transformer, the second one is just bigger and can handle a hair drier, and will handle any other smaller 120 volt loads just fine, look at your ipod charger, some of them are rated for 110-250
